Here is a very brief summary of Dead Poets Society;

A group of students trying to keep up with the tough, authoritarian and traditional rules of the Welton Academy. ’School is America's most challenging university prep school, and most students stay in boarding schools. There is a team of 7 people who are full of friends, adventurous and excited,but because of the authority of the school they can not spend time to have fun.

One day, a new teacher is appointed to the school. Mr. John Keating... Although he looks like an ordinary person, the informations he knows are worth gold. Against all these authorities, his understanding of education against all this hard and disciplined system is very different. The most interesting thing is that Mr. Keating wants to be called "Captain", "My Captain". After his first lesson, everything is just beginning for the group of 7.

Here is a scene that is impressing;

If you look at the picture again, the man behind Mr. John Keating (with a white shirt and tie) is Todd Anderson and the same person has completely lost his confidence. He is afraid that his words will not be affected by any of the his mates. But Mr. Keating does something in the classroom, and then Todd can gain his confidence, if only a little. Also Todd, he starts to attract more attention among the group of 7 people.
